Homework in the virtual workspace? Plan you work and respect it as much as anybody else´s.

Having been amazed how smoothly and naturally the students were able to make use of the SMART amp´s features, I decided to give homework that was very similar to the project they had done in the classroom. The assignment was ´A poster about your favourite celebrity´. They had to pick one celebrity to present based on the suggestions in their student´s books. They were still members of the same team as before, the only difference was that they worked at home and had to respect their mates work. In other words, they knew that if they shuffled with or even deleted someone else´s work, the team result wouldn´t be as they had planned and agreed on in the classroom.

As you can see, all posters stayed as they had been intended by their authors. Well, who said that this generation has no clue what respect and team spirit is? :-)
